18th Kvarner EXPO – Celebrating Creativity, Craftsmanship and Local Products

For 18 years now, Kvarner EXPO has been celebrating creativity, vibrant colors, and the skilled hands of artisans from all over Croatia – and beyond. Since its beginnings in Opatija in 2004, this fair has become a recognizable symbol of the quality of Croatian products and souvenirs.

It has grown far beyond a local event – today, Kvarner EXPO is nationally recognized, supported by the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts, and included in the Chamber’s official calendar of specialized fairs. The event is organized by the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.

Each year, Kvarner EXPO honors outstanding exhibitors with awards for the best souvenirs. While the format of the awards has changed over time, their purpose has remained the same – to recognize the very best.

The fair is a valuable opportunity to showcase and promote authentic local products, enhance the reputation of craftsmanship, and support the competitiveness of small businesses. Moreover, Kvarner EXPO has become a place for networking, collaboration, and the development of new business connections.

This year’s edition will take place in the town of Krk, from June 13 to 15, 2025. Visitors can look forward to a rich and diverse program, a chance to support local artisans, and a genuine celebration of Croatian creativity.

The fair will welcome 60 exhibitors from across the country, and the festive opening will be held on Friday, June 13, starting at 5:00 PM. The opening program will include a parade by the Krk City Brass Band, a performance by the vocal group Klapa Vejanke, an exhibition of traditional Krk sails, a presentation of the “Gift from Krk” brand, and – of course – an appearance by the fair’s charming mascot, KvEx the seagull.
